We are seeking a driven LCMHCA or LCSWA to join our team as a contract based psychotherapist. Psychotherapists at Half Moon provide individual therapy as well as relational therapy (to couples, families, polycules, and more) and/or group therapy based on interest and experience. The position is hybrid, with at least 2 working days being in our office in downtown Raleigh.

What we're looking for:
-
You hold or are about to graduate with at least a masters degree in mental health counseling or social work
-
You're a new graduate who is soon to be or have recently been licensed as an LCMHCA or LCSWA

You are passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community and are either a strong ally of this community, or a part of the community yourself
-
You have some experience or knowledge in providing process based therapies (ACT, EFT, RFT, IFS, etc)
-
You have solid experience providing individual therapy in practicum and/or internship
-
You are a clear and effective communicator via email and chat as well as in person
-
You are able to work on your own but also value working on a team of fun, motivated, passionate people

You are organized and able to juggle clinical as well as administrative tasks
-
You are organized and able to prioritize tasks and shift gears if need be
-
You are self-directed, self-motivated, and willing to take action. We work really well with folks who are go-getters.
What your job would be:
-
Providing therapeutic services to clients individually or relationall, with an expectation of holding 15 sessions per week (more if desired)

Setting therapeutic treatment goals with client collaboration
-
Practicing trauma informed and social justice informed care
-
Completing all clinical documentation (intake assessments, progress notes, etc) in a timely fashion
-
Providing referrals to community organizations or other wellness providers as appropriate
-
Attending weekly clinical supervision for licensure in alignment with board requirements
-
Assisting clients with out of network filing for reimbursement

(aka just doing the work of being a therapist)

The nitty-gritty details:
-
This is a 1099, contractor position (ie: no paid time off/health insurance benefits)
-
60%/40% split of all session fees ($99 per full fee session, approximately $71,280 per year gross when seeing 15 clients per week for 48 weeks—yes, we want you to take at least 4 weeks off a year)

Opportunities for paid time spent on the following if you're into this sort of thing: leading groups or community events, social media, blog posts, networking, etc.

Flexible days/hours—if you love mornings, come in early; if you're an evening person, work at night. If you prefer to have a schedule that allows for more accessibility for clients and want to offer weekends, that's great too. Create your own schedule and hours that work best for you.
