Holly Williams, Counseling Intern
she/they

I identify with the idea of being a "wounded healer." I believe that I've learned how to support others through first learning how to navigate my own struggles and triumphs. Why do I gravitate towards this kind of work? My "why" comes a lot from who I am. As a non-binary, bisexual person in a cis-het passing relationship, I've had to grapple with concerns about whether or not I will be recognized as "truly queer." This is why I'm so passionate about helping others who have felt this way - or have otherwise been made to feel less than because this couldn't be farther from the truth.

As your therapist, I intend to help you come to believe that your feelings and identity are valid despite how it may appear to those with more narrow definitions of what healthy and happy look like. Whether you're trying to resolve the pain of who your parents told you to be, beauty magazines told you to be, gender norms told you to be, or society as a whole told you to be, I want to help you find the peace you are looking for.

I aspire to create a warm, welcoming environment that supports you in the process of building trust in me and with me. With me, what you see is what you get, which I hope will be really freeing for those of you who grew up feeling like you had to read between the lines or fill in the gaps. I commit to cultivating a space that feels collaborative and non-intimidating, aided by my easy-going nature, openness, and sarcastic humor. I will champion you and ensure that you know that I'm always in your corner.

Holly is accepting new clients for May 2024.
